A comment on Bubble Comment
Published August 11, 2008 Apropos of nothing , Creative ICT , ICT in education Leave a CommentBubble Comment looks like a neat and simple way of sharing web sites with video comments that ‘float’ above the website.

Each comment can last for 90 seconds and is available for 30 days and/or up to 200 playbacks. You’d expect these sort of limitations from a free service. Another limitation is that you can’t just embed Bubble Comment bubbles on a page. The service creates a link that redirects people to the page and to the Bubble Comment itself. So it’s a process of recording the comment and sending the link via email, or publishing the link. Bubble Comment appears to be part of K Sherman Studios, which provides other tools including Bubble Joy and Bubble Guur, a fuller, and chargeable service. Bubble Comment could be a simple and effective way for pupils to create on-line reviews… See a quick demo here.
Although the National Year of Reading is about, er, reading, it’s also about the general encouragement of things bookish. Maybe this helps explain this rather defeatist comment from the organisation, “With such busy lives many people no longer have time to sit down with a book.” Hmm…
Still, the offer of a week of daily audio books for free download is a good promotional tool.
